I had a ton of things to share this week, but this one definitely won the prize of inspirational/hopeful/Infashionability. (I just made up that word, you can borrow it, you’re welcome)
For the first time since 1969, a foreign fashion shoot took place in Teheran, Iran’s capitol. FSHN, a L.A based magazine sent Iranian born photographer Afra Pourdad to shoot this very controversed editorial in public places in Iran’s Capitol.
Needless to say, this is kind of a big deal, especially because Iran is notorious for having very strict religious laws and being absolutely hermetic to our western ways, specifically concerning women and their way of dress. The model’s hair is covered, but the colorful and feminine styling is unusual in Iran. A big step ahead.
Here’s to fashion as a peace ambassador in the world!
