Runway Look Even When Prego

July 17, 2012

I am a huge fan of Philip Lim I can still remember the first dress I bought from him. In Las Vegas, was it at Scoop or Intermix? Anyway. A perfect pink body-con dress that I still wear and adore. I have since then acquired pieces season after season and I never get bored of them. Even during my first pregnancy Phillip Lim was my go-to designer because his silhouettes are either body-con or loose fitting, and some of the pieces I bought prego looked amazing after and vice versa…I really, truly love this brand.

For SS12, Phillip Lim captured the sorbet colors beautifully and I absolutely needed to make sure that I would rock it this summer, and, you know, being pregnant was not going to stop me!
Just looking at the pieces would make your mouth water and crave the freshness of a yummy mango raspberry sorbet! Or is it just the pregnancy cravings?

Sure enough I found the perfect slouchy-but-elegant silk trousers, and with an elastic waistband! The perfect peach color, delicious.
And let’s be honest as you can see from below they will look awesome without my belly too, those are a SCORE!

To go with these perfect trousers is another one of my obsession of the summer; color blocking in a shoe.
Wow, the square YSL two-tone pump has looked amazing with everything I paired it with.
This look is easy, flowy and colorful but does not look cutesy in anyway…Strong and fierce is how I felt.

I managed to take a runway look and make it feel right although I am 8 months pregnant…
Being infashionated is all about making it work!

    Oh, Elisa!
What wonderful news! I was so surprised and delighted to discover that Baby #2 is nearly here (as I type, it may have already happened). I am thrilled for you and Jerry — I know what joy Nathan has brought to your lives and now you will be blest again. And you could not possibly look more beautiful!!! As I read, I sensed that you are having another little boy? I wish him a safe journey into the world … and an easy time for you, too. I’ll be thinking of you and eager for the big new!
    Truly,
    Judy
