Snowed in Style

December 24, 2013

The biggest fashion problem every woman is confronted with is living in the REAL WORLD (No, not the MTV reality show, the real, REAL world.) Unfortunately, our lives aren’t all runways and pages of glossy magazines, and we don’t wake up with eyeliner and blush like in a Jennifer Aniston movie.

Case in point: I live in Montreal, Quebec, and we’ve officially been snowed in. For all you cutie pies posting pictures on Instagram of 3 inches of snow, here in Montreal when we talk snow, we talk 15 inches over a weekend. Like, up-to-your-knees-snow. Like, can’t-wear-anything-but-snow gear-snow.

That’s the very reason Eran and I created Mackage: we are Montrealers, who love style. In -20C degrees weather, you need your feet and body warm and protected, and still look good doing it! So when the weather demands it, I trade up my YSL heels for some Sorel boots , and pull out my Mackage snow accessories: a soft and warm cashmere scarf tied around my neck, fingers warmed by sheepskin gloves,

and a cute pompom hat on my head.

And of course, THE COAT. The MACKAGE coat.

This season, my number one choice is Cynthia. It’s honestly as warm as it is sharp. The black leather sleeve and army shell are the number one trend this season, and the gold hardware and fur lined hood is that special touch that makes this coat the definition of luxurious. With a coat like that, you’ll wish it were -20 every day of the year!

And that’s how the real world got InFashionated!
