Nomad, the bag, the collab, the launch, the party.

November 14, 2013

Last thursday we the celebrated our wonderful collaboration with Megs from Purseblog.
It takes a few specific things to get an effective collaboration, essential ingredients that perfectly blend different talents and individuals:
* A good dose of mutual respect: You know me. Purses. Bags. Satchels. I love them all, and I can’t get enough of them. So naturally, I had been reading Megs Purseblog for a while, and already knew I loved her aesthetic. To see her excitement when she first saw our handbag collection at our NY showroom was the best compliment we could get. Respect? Check.

*A heap of great chemistry: Megs, Eran and I totally hit it off from minute one. It was like we knew each other for years. She is a real delight to work and play with. Oh, and did I mention she loves deserts? Almost as much as we do. Chemistry? Chocolate.

*A serving of like-mindedness. the three of us really wanted to create a gorgeous AND practical bag, one that responded to our needs: Megs and I both travel so much and cannot possibly bring all our purses with us. This one had to be it. It literally can carry everything a woman needs, and it can separate and be 2 different options of clutches or cross body bags. Nomad is a mutant! Think alike? YES.

Announcements of our union were made at Instyle.com and the making of is on Glam.com

and of course, when our baby was born, we had to throw a party. (Yes I am referring to a bag as a baby, don’t judge me, I dare you to try it on and not want to adopt one for yourself!)

What a way to bring a purse to the world: beats by Brendan Fallis, you can even sample some of his beats on Nylon.com

Drinks by Svedka Vodka and Le Sutra.

A Bosco photobooth where attendees got to fool around with Nomad and get a GIF.

And most importantly an amazing crowd, Theophilus London showed up (Love HIM!) and Adriane Baillon a true Mackage devotee.

True to our rituals, we chatted a bit, drank some, and danced danced danced DANCED THE NIGHT AWAY!

Unfortunately, when it’s a wrap, it’s a wrap… The party was over too soon. We have to plan out another party bag collab with Megs because we already miss playing and working with her!
